Currently I have 17x7 volans offset 43 no spacers in front and 15mm in rear, Ipd blue springs and koni yellows all around
I dont really want to roll my fenders but I am open to it, basically I dont want major rubbing and I dont want to run into problems while fitting so I want to figure some things out now, in advance and buy some sets of spacers etc.
I did some calculations and found I need 6mm all around to compensate for the slightly wider wheel... am i right haha?
Anyway I am hapy with the feel and performance and the current drop but want to accentuate the new wheels as much as possible... what should I do spacer-wise and where should I get them!
How many of you guys have attempted to just roll the inner fender lip on the 850s? The metal lip.
Looking to get them flush but not hella flush or poking or anything lol
Thanks in advance guys,
greg

but if you are hell bent on riding 'flush' and slammed, then you will need to adjust tire size, spacing, fender liners, and fenders.

You need to spend time test fitting wider wheels and calculating the correct tire size and the correct brand of tires. While avoiding using bigger spacers as much as possible. There are a few things you need ask yourself before doing this
1. Is this set up fits your style of driving?
2. Is this going to be my daily?
3. Do I want a more aggressive set up? (meaning fatter tires)
4. Or am I gonna keep it real like it's 1999 and use "low profile" tires?
Remember that most tires out there all have different size sidewalls even if they're the same size. Especially the all seasons tires. This will have an affect on your journey on finding the right set up.
When you could barely get the middle part of the tires sidewall to squeeze in (with no more than 15mm spacers)..that's the perfect set up. And that is the perfect time to get your fenders rolled! You want to roll to make it fit you don't want to roll to make room.
Find some 17x9 or 18x9 all around. Toss that 18x7.5 weakness. =D

If your low, you will have more trouble with 225's then I think you want. That wagon is way to purty to be yanking and rolling. Just my .02.
Gary
Thanks Gary, I agree. May have to get new tires for them honestly... gonna loose money but these are the wheels I want for sure...

just curious because i am finding out more and more 225 40 r18 on my ipd blues and koni yellows is gonna be RUB.
Im running 235/75/17's on Tethys, and I feel with just an inch drop (Achieveable for me by using regular GLT AWD Nivomats instead of the XC Nivomats) I think my wagon would sit perfect.
75 aspect ratio! you mean 45? haha

This is so completely irrelevant to the original post.

The 225s will rub. This bit is true. What is not being pointed out is where. You will rub on the inner fender wells. This can be solved fairly simply with a good set of spacers. Otherwise I don't see where else you will rub with your current suspension set-up.

Ehhh, yes and no. The rear is going to rub the outside well with the spacers he has and a 225 tire. Ask everyone about my debadged rears at Carlisle two years ago.
