I love highway one...but every time I try to do Bay area to LA its closed at some point (usually around Big Sur) for rock slides..Although one time i wound up taking Carmel Valley rd (rt18?) east to 101 as a detour and it was amazing, some of the best driving ever. I would love to take a Ducati 999 for a run through there..

Beautiful road and scenery, very jealous. That's a hell of a driveway too, merging right onto a highway :josh:

Yea its closed right now about 12 miles south of me due to a rock slide. When the road is closed is when I can have good fun. Its funnest at night, but the GoPro doesn't film well at night. The road in Carmel Valley, is County Road G-16. I have driven it a few times, and its a blast, specially at night, when you can see oncoming headlights.

One thing that blows about this road is the condition its in. Its constantly being torn up by boulders falling and all the loaders scraping off the mudslides. I have to rebuild my front end every year. You learn which bumps to avoid after a while. You'll notice I swerve around a big one around 1:02. That wasn't under-steer. That bump has cost me 2 rims already.
