When I called about year and half ago they said there were only 3 70 sunroof trims availible and they were not in the US.

When I called about year and half ago they said there were only 3 70 sunroof trims availible and they were not in the US.

Gen 1 Cars: "R" interior door panels are either out of stock (for good?) or very constrained. I purchased the last "set" in tan for my wife's '99 GLT. I can't get a center speaker grill for my car (2000 VR), and bottom front seat covers are also no longer available. John at Boston Volvo informed me that interior replacement parts are usuallly the first to be axed. I'm surprised that "R" bumper covers are no longer available. -Wm.

I was just browsing... if that image is actually what they are selling... is that not "close" to a R looking bumper.... I couldn't really tell... is that the normal s70 bumper?

That is just a regular s/v 70 series bumper. The picture might look deceiving because they have the lower grill inserts pictured in front of it.

It's a normal one, as the advertisement specifies. The weird things in the front are the grill inserts laid in front of it, making it a very poor picture.

for what its worth, i just ordered a 1998 black R bumper about 2 months ago... no problems whatsoever getting it.

Very limited supply of the painted bumpers and zero primered bumpers available

If you guys have a good relationship with your dealer, and they can't get a difficult item, you can ask them if they'll call parts help desk option 2. The help desk can check inventories in ALL markets. It would be advised to not get in a hurry with this, and most parts guys will groan at the thought of calling due the the insane wait time.

Ditto on the 2 min wait time I just really want a primer gray v70r bumper due t my car color not coming in an r model so it would be easier to paint when it's primer already

As for the other trim parts, yep, most are now discontinued
Within the last couple of years I bought the "last set" of Dynaudio speakers, the last center speaker wiring harness,
Dolby Processors and those harnesses have been N/A for a while now.
Two years ago I bought an aluminum center console trim piece, it took me 2 days, last year the same piece took me 6 months!!! to get and I'm sure now it will be on a permanent back order

I have received my primed bumper (39820549) in march. Purchased from Tasca in February and shipped to Dallas, Texas through Volvo Cars of N.America from Sweden on 15th of February.
