For a while now I've been getting really uneven braking when I come to a stop and when I brake at higher speeds. As the car is slowly rolling to a halt, I slow down in short bursts - I'll have really heavy stopping force, then very little, then heavy, and so on, in a back-and-forth sinusoidal kind of pattern.

Am I looking at warped rotors here? Hub(s)? I can only think of one instance where I've really laid on the brakes, and that was at <15 miles per hour, so I don't know how I might have warped them. I don't know if it's connected, but I also get a mild to moderate left-right wobble in the steering wheel above 60 miles per hour or so, it's really noticable around 70 and only gets worse from there.

sounds like you have at least one really warped rotor.

But I would also check tire balance and wheel bearings as well..the wobble at speed points to this.

A really bad wheel bearing could feasibly contribute to all of your symptoms. Any noises coming from the hub? They usually, but not always, make noise as they wear out.

As for a place to start, Jack the front of the car up and slowly rotate the wheel and listen for the rotor "chuffing" against the pads (if warped)

Also grasp the wheel at 9 and 3 as well as 12 and 6 to check for any play

It's also possible a caliper is sticky but yeah, hub bearing or warped rotor.
