Anyway this could work? 302mm rotors and matching calipers in the rear? Feel free to shut me down if I'm completly off on this.

No. Among other things, the front 302mm rotors don't have a provision for the parking brake.
99 V70 R. Silver/Charcoal, 151k, working on stage 0. Still waiting for mods to start....

Well obviously that. I wouldn't expect it to fit straight up.... Different rotors would be a must. Not sure where I'd find them though.

Considering the braking distribution in these cars, you would likely not notice any difference even if you were able to fit 302's in the rear. I only noticed a small difference with 330mm rotors and 4 piston s60r calipers in the rear.

Yes this is true. I don't expect a huge difference. If I'm trying to a BBK up front I wouldn't mind trying to make the current xc calipers fit in the back. Better then doing nothing with them.
