1996 volvo 850 will start and idle for a bit then die. afterwards it will fire but not idle. when it does idle and i give it gas past 3000 rpm it will sit at 3000 for a bit then drop all the way and die. i have replaced mass airflow, idle air control, and throttle position sensor. any suggestions? Could fuel pump be an issue?

I have a fuel pressure tester I can throw on there real quick to see if its a fuel issue. I will be in East Tacoma area tomorrow..

My '95 NA was doing this at one point and it ended up being the coil of all things.

Ya, it blew my mind... but that was it. Spark was going out sometimes. Not saying that's what your issue it, but checking fuel and spark is a good idea.
