My aftermarket head unit was stolen out of my car a few months ago. It was fully working, no problems. It appears the person just pulled the old stereo out and left all of the wires in the car. I disconnect everything and hooked it up to my new head unit's wiring harness and now I have absolutely no power. I tested the new unit by putting the wires on the positive and negative on the battery and it powered on immediately. Does anyone have any suggestion on how I should troubleshoot this?I don't have a multi-meter right now but I have a feeling I should buy one.

Please let me know where to start. Thanks!

Check fuses 7 and 32.
And you're right...
Get a meter.

Make sure none of the wires in the harness were ripped in the process. Is it the same brand headunit because the wiring pin-out might be slightly different...

I checked and everything looks good. I have installed 10 or so head units and this is the first time I have had a problem. I'm going to get a multi-meter, check the fuses and rewire when it gets a little warmer out.
Thanks for the help!
