hmmmm, so louder than the SuperTones you say? Mine (STs) crapped out after not too long as well and have been looking for some new options
Also, where did you buddy pick this up from? Found them on Amazon
http://www.amazon.co...n/dp/B003JO2AAC this one looks to be a bit different. I especially like the description section...
"This horn is like a donkey kick to your ears!"
Might want to check this out too, seeing the way you have your mounted. Did you install it with the relay?
Per the manufacturer, this horn should be mounted so that the cylinder is vertical (with the horn facing down). There should be no more than a 15 degree variance from the vertical position. If it is not mounted per these specifications, then the horn may cease to function after a period of time.
Purchased from here:

I didn't install the included relay. It says the relay is only required on some applications.
Regarding the mounting, the horns came with no directions or anything like that. I'll look into it though. The one I have and the one you linked are obviously different, so maybe it only applies to that one? If it applies to both I'll have to mount them differently. Also, these horns come with a lifetime warranty. Can't say the same for the hellas

Of course all these Supertone revelations come after everyone on the board told me to buy Supertones.

Sorry bout that. They are good horns so long as you don't let them get wet. I don't know where you mounted yours, but now that you know, you can try to put them in a spot where they can't get wet.
