Who has used 245/40/18s on their S70? I have a set of them by Vredestein - called the Ultrac Sessanta's . Its a better tire than PS2 and I just cant say enough about them. So Im hoping they will fit? My Fenders are getting rolled also, so that will help of course. Rims are TDR 1.2s - 8 inch wide - 40 offset. I have to add that Im not a 100% on the offset as it says 40 on my bill, but I thought I got a 45 offset.

245s will be rub city. I have 235s on 7.5 and it already rubs pretty severe anywhere close to full lock.

A buddy here is running 245/35/18 on OZs with KWs and even with rolled fenders it rubs in hard corners or with people in the back.

I would not advise to run them.

Im not worried about full lock, or even a bit of rubbing over bumbs with people in the back which is dam near never. But.. rubbing in the corners blows. I have 15mm spacers for the rear and 5 for the front and the fenders being rolled I thought might work. Dam these skinny Volvo wheel wells.

Yes, I'm running 235/40-18 on 38et, on Ultraleggeras, front's rubs at full lock and rubbed the fender liner away at the lip. Rears won't apply to you since I'm AWD. I thought about going to 245, I'd have to roll the fenders and couldn't lower my car any more then the TME springs give me.

Not all tires will measure the same. See if you can get the tire specs, ie. section width and tread width, and compare them to some brands and sizes you know.
I had some Sumitomos, 225/35/18 that were quite a bit smaller than the Avon M500 in the same size. Tirerack.com is a good resource but they don't have the Vredesteins.

I couldnt diagree with you more on that. Anyone I know that has had PS2, Toyo T1Rs ect that went the Vreds likes them better and will never look back. I put a set on my fathers Saab Turbo X and couldnt believe the difference from the Pirreli P Zero`s he had on there. I tried PS2s vs Vreds on a 335i and the Vreds felt better. In the rain the Vreds are brilliant again.

If the 245s wont work then I cant do much about that. I`ll have to see if someone wants to do a trade for 225s of the same tire or PS2 T1R ect.

i would go with 17s..offset on volvo are 35 but you can go with a 38 and be fine.if you go with a 40 you will need a spacer.

Ive done the Pegs 17s and Im not a fan of the look. I have 225/40/18 Dunlop Sport Max tires on there right now. I just have these 245s also, and if I could use them I would.
