Meyle HD.

He is asking which TKi endlinks he should buy. Not which endlinks he should buy. Your posts would be relevant in the latter scenario.
Topic? pictures?

Just an opinion, I'm not trying to state it as a fact...

I'm not doubting that they are well made and heavy duty. I'm just saying that the DIY endlinks perform excellently and are well worth the time/effort and it really depends if you want to make them or buy them made. You can build thicker DIY ones but everyone seems to go with the size I made and doesn't have any issue. I when with the DIY adjustable endlinks so that I could make a set for the rear bar too, something you FWD guys don't have. ;)

Pictures of said DIYs?

Any threads?

No worries. I actually found it through a google search, which directed me to a thread, which had that link in it lol. So don't feel too bad.

I thought I read that one of Hussein's endlinks snapped? Maybe it wasn't his, but I remember reading that about someone on here. Just to clarify, I'm talking about the joint/bolt, not the long metal bar.

Not that I was aware of... I didn't find anyone that had issues with the 3/8" set up. Like I said you can make them bigger but then you run into issues with having to drill out the sway bar opening or the strut mount opening for the large stud or bolt, how ever you make them

Broke my one Mid West Controls homemade adjustable swaybar endlink! Heard it bust this morning and I only had them in for 2 weeks. And its raining so I can't get under it to look and see what busted. I'll have to call the company on Monday and see what they can do for a replacement. :glare:

I was very happy with them too! :(

Looks like I just lost the nut at the bar and it came free. I'm about to crawl under it now to fix. Good thing I can take a long lunch and it dead in the office.

All is right with the world... The sways are working again... I may have to redo the hardware I was using one of the washers was very thick and might not have let the lock nut seat 100% so I'll fix that this weekend...

See told you I wan't aware of one breaking... :P

I used lock nuts and washers that were too big and it worked it way off. When the endlink popped out of the sway it made a big bang noise that rattled thru the bar, sounded like something sherd was my first thought... I redid them all that weekend and everything was OK! :)

I've been running ipd HD endlinks on an ipd bar with ipd springs for a few years now, no issues. But I am thinking about DIYing some just cause I can and they'd be sexier.

Lowered + OEM sway + welded endlinks = fail no matter who makes them. Why? Because the OEM sway doesn't rotate and preloads like a mofo, causing such snapping. With an ipd front bar you'd have been fine.

It's not Meyle's fault that you installed their product in an incompatible setup. Their link is the correct length for OEM springs and OEM sway. NOT the correct length for OEM sway and lowering springs, making it, as you can see from the picture about 3-4 inches too long. The OEM sway's mounting is solid, no swivel allowed, I can do chin ups from it with a car on a lift and it won't move but about 1/2" down. You can get away with it if you've got an IPD bar since it swivels in its mounts and doesn't preload one bit, in which case the IPD ones and Meyle ones are great.

I feel like there are more efficient ways to do chinups than on your swaybar....

Tyler, I've still got to shorten up the hex (swedged) tubes, they were 3" got to chop them in half and maybe shorten up the threads on the heim joint and mounting hardware. I'll bring them Friday to show you what I've got, it's really easy to make, hardest part is getting the rubber boots over the joints...
