getting my motor replaced in the next few weeks, tranny has 169k on it, no burning smells, stays in gear fine, no weird noises, shifts a tad firm, not too bad at all, fluid has been changed 3 times in the past 50k miles, you think it will last another 30k to 50k miles? Should i add a tranny cooler? Should I flush the fluid or is that not good?

Can never say 100% for sure but as the fluid has been maintained then you should be good. These trannys last almost forever if maintained.
Yes change the fluid!!! Keep it changed and it will last a very long time. You don't have to bother with anything special any cheap ATF will work perfectly fine.

flush, fill, drain, pump, whatever gets new fluid in and the old out. Treat it like an oil change...
