I want to install a set of side emitting day time running lights down near my fog lights.
Is there an easily accessible keyed power source under the hood I can tap into? I know I can bring on through the firewall, but it would be easier to find one in the engine bay. The car is a '98 S70.
Thanks

You could try this set up then you can just pick up off your parklight and battery, this device allows the the DRL's to switch off once you activate your park/headlights and reactive when the park/headlights are off.
I connected this type of setup on my Volvo only requires connection to battery for main source and parklights power which the control unit monitors to switch the DRL's off/on.
Does not require any activation of headlight switch once setup.
Only a suggestions you may just want to run your DRL's all the time.
Here is a sample link to one of these devices on Amazon (if this is alright to show).

Thanks, I'm looking to have them on all the time when the car is on. Also the leds are prewired with resistors, so all I need is a keyed 12v power source.
