I remember there was someone on VW Vortex who was advertising $100 or so for used cats, and pickup even around Boston.

Otherwise, is there a scrap yard that's paying good money?

Since I went catless, no reason to keep the thing around!

ahhh forgot I posted this here!

well, no idea how i am passing inspections honestly. when i bought the car, it was contingent on the thing passing inspection in mass. could it be the IPD stage I flash? it had the IPD turbo back exhaust when i got it, no signs of a cat!

brandon, will let you know. i actually found someone who needs one (just emailed me the other day), so if it falls through i'll give you a shout.

According to a tech with whom I was chatting last weekend, Motronic 4.4 can be flashed to delete O2 sensors. At inspection, OBDII will report a not ready signal for emissions, which is enough to pass in Mass.
