She is at Northpoint Volvo in Alparetta GA - they are advertising very competitive prices for repairs and my past experience with Volvo indie shops in Atlanta is they are just as expensive
if not more than dealer and the quality is so-so. Since Volvo is warrantying repairs for 2 years now the R is getting the dealer treatment - I will let you know what the final damage is and what they say once I find out.
Of they are mentioning doing the 90K service since I am at 92K BUT i figured as fast as I accumulate miles I would hold of for 105K timing belt change and try to bring all service up to date at that point if i dont have my friend's shop in Daphne AL do the rest of the 90K recommendations first.
Volvo needs to get their act together with the radiator supplier - I am pretty sure the previous owner has used nothing but OEM coolant and so have I - radiator should last longer than this in a "high quality" car.
I also asked them to look into the random Brake Assist Service Needed light that pops up somewhat frequently - more as of late with the warmer weather.

Believe 05 tbelt replacement for your car is at 120k. And radiators yes they all leak. They seem to have improved them or did something different we dont see many anymore. Like 2 yrs ago tho we were doing them left and right on the p2's.

Seems like they all start leaking at the seams around 100,000.
I would advise doing the 90K and timing belt service now. Better safe than sorry.

Dealer says it the Thermostat Assembly, not the Radiator and qouted me @ $350 to replace. They also said one my front right strut is leaking along with the spring seat being cracked. I am having them replace the spring seats for now - will let my friends shop handle the strut.

Also the dealer says the Brake Assist warning message is due to a bad Brake Position sensor - so I am having that replaced too.

I was going to say brake pedal sensor was your issue but didnt eant to guess. Replace it yourself takes not even 5 minutes all you need is a pick and some silglyde

My '05 S60R sprang a leak at 95k. Leak between the aluminum and plastic end cap. Put leak stop in. No problem since. Changed coolant at 105k with timing belt and water pump change. No other issues, but I drive it like I want it to last 20 yrs.
