Because I would think 215 on 8" wide looks great but then only the rear 9" will stretch... I would stretch all four not just the rear that's all

225 then?

I'm gonna talk to my paint/body guy to see how much it would cost to modify my rear fenders/wheel well.

Sent you a PM Robbie.

And Adam, I'll be running a 215 on the 9.5 in the rear. I think with 9s if you can get the inset as far in as possible, you could run a wider tire in the rear.

The trouble with 225/45 is its much taller than a 215/45. If you can find 225/40/17's let me know. But currently I'm 205/40. Everyone has their options in tire stretch but I've hit DC pot holes hard without so much as a worry.

Adam ill try to get some pics of the rear clearances

yes...225/40/xx would be ideal IMO....215 on an 8" wheel is a bit stretched, and I felt pretty uncomfortable driving with that slight stretch....215 on a 9" would make me park my car in a showroom and let people look at it....

 I run 205's on a 9", I push my car hard and hit DC potholes hard. I even managed to spin the tires inside of the wheel.

  There is hardly any stretch with a 215/40 on an 8". I had 205/40 on my 8" and they were barely considered stretched.

a 215 on 8" would look great imo... just not a 9", again imo though

Adam did you just want to get 4 of the same tire to keep it simple and cheaper?

check out tirebuyer.com for decent deals...

considered and being are two different things.
215 on 8" is barely stretched, as I said earlier, but it is stretched nonetheless.
215 on a 9" is stretched, noticeably.

it really depends on what you want, i guess....i don't feel comfortable or safe having that much stretch on a daily driver with KWs, and a large turbo, etc. if you're showing it or want a beauty queen for some stretch site or stance site, and want to drive at 35mph all the time to avoid bumps and potholes, then stretching rubber bands is for you.....but that's not going to be a large population of people with daily drivers, thats a guarantee!!!

I'd have to say that after seeing it personally, the picture doesn't do it justice....

agreed ^^^

also the falken ziex512 or whatever those falken are seem to always looked semi stretched with how narrow the contact area actually is compared to other tires of the same size... I had those tires before...
