So my car was on a lift today and the mechanic noticed that my front springs were loose (no compression in the springs). Sure enough, you could ratle them and even spin them a bit.
The car was sold to me with Bilstein HD and IPD lowering springs, but my guess is the PO did not get the right lowering HDs and just used the standard HDs.
Everything seats right, no clunks and drives great.
Is this a problem, hazard, something I should even care about?

It is normal for them to be like that with suspension at full droop. Not a cause for concern unless you plan on routinely jumping the car

Thanks for the quick reply.
Figured it was not an issue and would have been surprised if the PO had on the wrong HDs as he knows Volvos.
Wheels have stayed on the pavement so far!

Thanks for the heads up. I had seen on IPDs site that they had an HD for "stock height" cars and got confused.
Obviously new to owning a lowered car!
