Anyone taken one of these apart before? My key does not stay closed so I grabbed another working one to try to tear it apart and see if I can fix mine. The 2 parts come apart easily with the removal of one screw. What I want to do it get the key end apart. It looks like it's 2 halves but I can't see how it's held together and if it's even possible to separate them. Any tips or tricks? Thanks!

The key portion is actually fusion welded together (plastic fused) and the only way to separate is with a hot razor or thin dremel cutoff wheel.

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. Have you ever taken one apart?
