Thanks george, not sure what i screwed up there lol.

H, keep in mind the turbo is baxkwarda on my setup in order for the exhaust to face the correct direction. I wouldnt be the right buyer for that header, i can make my own for less than what you could sell that thing for ;)
An for now im happy to run the shitty stock manifold with the adapter.

Making it run is the easy part, making it drive properly is where it will get tricky.

Andrij, just search ebay, not sure if you can fit one though.

cut the flange off a spare 3" throttle body, had a buddy weld it on the manifold for me, then i tapped the holes and bingo, no more lame drive by wire throttle body.

Ordering intercooler and exhaust parts right now, ordered oil filter relocation stuff and a bunch of vdo gauges. Flywheel is at the machine shop right now getting redrilled.

even better with a custom manifold...i dont have much of a choice now, found out the master cylinder is in the way. oh well, just another road block for the best.
btw thanks for the quick reply to my text today H, wanted to grab bolts at my lunch break but had no idea what they were, you were correct m10x1.5 =]

So today, i got a suprise at work, couldnt believe it but sure enough...my adapter plate! from sweden in 7 days, not bad!
Quality looked great and tolerences were also quite nice i found after installing it.

need to get some more bolts at lunch tommorow for the adapter plate but for now it is bolted on sturdy enough for mock up.

We heard you liked vert mounted whiteblocks so we put one in your e30

It closes!

So that is the final position of the motor, exactly, the height is perfect, the hood closes, its perfectly centered, the rear transmission crossmember is bolted up.
I need to extend the driveshaft and shift linkages about 6 inches, the driveshaft angle will be less harsh than stock, so im happy.

The intake manifold does not fit unfortantly, when i mocked up the motor originally it was not centered so i thought it would fit but....nope. The master cylinder and booster are in the way, so i will be installing an e21(smaller) booster and moving the booster over a couple inches to give me some more clearance but i still dont think that will be enough room for the stock manifold so i will most likely be building a manifold, but even then, space is very tight, we'll see.
ut even then, space is very tight, we'll see.

Coming along nicely! Glad I was able to answer your question, I was in the basement at the time, so it was easy enough to measure a bolt.

Nice work Robbie, looks clean and well executed.

What will the new oil pan hold (oil volume) ? Same amount as before, or less ?
