Everyone,

I hav a 2000 C70 and am lookin into a wheel and tire combo to finish the project. What is the largest known wheel and tire combo I can fit without rolling the fenders or doing anything else crazy. I'd live to fit a 18X10.5.

19s and even 20s fit but you go wider than 8.5 and you're rubbing. At least in the front.

Don't mean to hijack but what do u recommend for rear spacers to push teathys out on 2154017 tires

This is the biggest front:


20x9 ET30 with 225/30/20

I could have put 20x10.5" or 20x11" in the rear with the correct offsets and tires.

Mine was also a 2000.

Want to get my coupe to that status - Guess I have to leave the pegs and head for some 18 or 19" wheel...

I don't like convertibles either lol. It's actually jeremy's fault I ended up in a vert...his was the one t that made me lust for one

Sorry to thread jack, but Steve, do you rub in the fronts with 235? I've got 235.40.18 that rub like motherfuckers. They're wrapped around 18" Pegs, not exactly sure what I can do to fix it as I'm not the most knowledgable when it comes to offsets and whatnot.

nope. why dont they? here is why.

on my c70 with bilstein HD's and qbm endlinks and eibachs i needed 30 mm front spacer/adapters. so my fronts went from 19x9.5 62et offset to 32mm offset to clear suspension.AND i had to roll the fenders and liner and such.

Now with my D2 Coilovers i can use my 20mm spacers/adapters and did not need the lip work. I probably can run 245/35/19's again.

the D2's are much much smaller diameter shocks.

I need a time to seriously get under the car and see where it is rubbing. Like I said I have 18" pegs wrapped in 235.40.18 with OEM struts and IPD springs.

That can be solved with some spacers very simply.

235.35.19 fronts
265.30.19 rears

Yeah it seems I need to research spacers and offset to get the issue resolved. It's pretty annoying everytime I try to pull into a space and have to back up and repark because I can't turn far enough..

pegs are 18 x 8? and tires are 235 40 18?

oem tire size on this car is 225mm wide, you are going another 10mm wider to 235mm
oem wheel is 42-44mm offset and pegs are 46mm off set. this equals to a wider wheel that is going inside the wheelwell towards the shock tube about 6mm.

only 6mm is enough to start rubbing inside wheel well and the inside fender liner.

You complain about the turning radius of this car? pssh...the c70 has a wheel base as short as a honda civic with a turning circle the size of a mac truck with two tandem trailers. LOL
