Rebuilt my interals Friday at Childrens Hopsital Boston...

I had a torn labrum in my hip joing and that was what was causing most of the pain because it would flip back and 1 spot would be empty of cartilage and the other would have 2 layers becaue of how it folded up

All of the red areas were the spots when I have chewed through the labrum and it ended up ripping. You can see in the last picture where they put in 2 souchers to hopefully have it heal back together and not keep flopping around...

I am 85% finished wih the Jeep now but it sucks because I can't do anything else aside from walking someone else though it. Also due to the surgery AGAIN going not as planned I am now on crutches for 3-4 weeks. No drivin because of the medication either. They were originally goin in just to clean up some rought spots that can been seen (they look like fibery hairs of catrolage) and they did do that. They just weren't expcecting to see th labrum torn and flipped backward.

soo yaya at least I have some more formal answers as to what is wrong and as long as I follow my recovery to the T I might be able to live a normal'er life much longer without needing a hip replacement. Along with the 3-4 weeks on cruchtches, same goes withd driving yet somehow I am only out of work for 2 weeks which I must click my heals to get there as I cant drive for 4 weeks... hmm

Hip surgery sucks.(Had a titanium one installed 7 years ago) Hopefully the recovery will be quick and this will be the solution to your problems.. Make sure you follow all the PT instructions and do all the stupid exercises. It will make you mobile much faster...Was it right or left? If it's your left, using the clutch is going to be tough for a while!

Another fucking  s70: with Lots of zip-ties, a power antenna, and a bitchin shift knob... the only mods that matter.

Good luck Kurt
Labrum is interesting and typical in long distance runners, there are two to three people having this done on both hips simultaneously on our team every year. Some time on crutches and discipline and you will be 110%! Get better!

I know you will follow it because you have been through this before. DO EVERYTHING PT SAYS. Your recovery and outcome after the surgery will be so much better. Best of luck to you Kurt!

The last surgery was when they took a bunch of my pulverized bone and stuffed it into where I had the huge cyst and they were all thrilled so see it held. As long as I baby the fuck outa this one so the 2 pieces of labium can fuse back together I should have bought my self much much more time that the typical 3.5 years. Its goin to be a slow road but if it went as well as they said it coud I will be ecstatic.
