I wonder if these are the china rods everyone sells. Anyone know? If so, it's a great deal for anyone looking to build their motor for cheap.

These would be perfect for a quick drop in without rebuilding...

Would these work for my 01 2.3L?

These rods are 139.5mm in lenght, meaning it was made for "N" whiteblocks before the RN switch. Your RN conrod is 147mm i belive

You would probably need pre RN pistons to run these rods in the RN motor.

If you ran your pistons now with these shorter rods you would have a drop in compression ratio.

Darn! At this price I would almost jump at just tossing them in. I do have some 98 2.3l pistons laying around though.

Same bore, i dont see why it wouldnt work. You would just need to find a turbo that can put out a decent rod bending amount of power to test these suckers out.

I would do these this week, if i had my own setup and a daily

According to the RN motor thread, your 01 motor has 139.5mm rods, the switch to 147mm came in 02. These should fit.

They should work for the '01 2.3. You'd need 139.5 mm rods. Presuming you used pistons with stock height for the piston pin. They don't have rods listed on their site for '02 2.3 engines, which has 147 mm rods.

Ok, guess you learn something new everyday thanks guys  I see 99-02 as a puberty phase for these motors now, cause every year something was different.

Now when i do my build i will know when these longer rods came upon.

Good find!

Assuming they're good, all you'd need is to source the ARP bolts.

They do not come with Studs/Bolts for the Rods...

Just something to think about.

Then again you are quite a douche so who am I to assume you couldn't pull that off...

I saw these over the weekend too and the exact same thing crossed my mind. Don't RSI rods come with ARP rod bolts?

Yes, they do. My order was delayed a couple of days because they had to pick them up.

Just an FYI(not trying to disrespect any vendor in anyway) but hbeam rods can be had from the suppliers in China for just about $25 a rod(sometime less)
I purchased some stroker rods for redblocks a year or so ago. Transaction went great and rods were perfect. For custom orders I think it would be more stressful trying to get the right dimensions.

So.... where's the link/contact info? that info is great, but without a link to a reputable supplier, it's kinda meaningless.
