I want to remove them in one piece. Are the rears like the fronts? Remove some rivets and they plop out?
And I'm using a dent repair hammer/dolly kit to fold up the lips. I think that will make the work pretty quick and easy.
Yeah, they'll pop out after the rivets are gone.
Ah. The metal is a tad thicker back there as well so just keep that in mind.

When you guys keep mentioning that it's a bit thicker, is it like impossible to roll or what? I understand it might be a bit thicker, but I don't see how a hammer with a metal block behind it won't get the job done.
yeah its the same process for the rear.

Awesome. Thanks!

Its two layers or metal stitch welded. So is exactly twice as thick. Do not roll rears. Peel back liners, and trim the lip. You can cut off up to 20mm. Then trim the the liner with a razor and rivet it back in.

psh, you don’t need to remove them. just get some 8 inch wide wheels (or wider) and drive like a nut job, especially on the corners... only takes a couple months and they will be completely gone, all on their own.
that is, unless you actually plan on keeping them....
Not everyone drives like a nut job like you.

You’re just upset because you can’t keep up.

So just cut off the lip instead of folding it up? Would it be easier to just cut the front fender lips off as well do you think?
Is 20mm the width of the fender lip or is that the width of the lip on the liner? Looking at it, I think it may just be easier to cut them, and then smooth out the edge.

Try 9.5.
And yes I plan on keeping them, they're going to stay in the car, I never said I was removing them.
I'm not taking the fender liners out right now so I can trim them or delete them, I just want to remove them so I have ample room to work with folding/cutting the lips so they don't rub a groove into my tires.

I just took a box cutter to the outside 6" or so. No problems after that. I will say that the rears are a pain and will take some time to roll properly.
You cut about 6" from the fender liner? I will have to trim some of it as well after the lips are folded/removed.

i think possibly maybe your tires are too narrow for your wheels? maybe its the camera angle or something...

Are you serious?

I know they are. But good luck fitting a 9.5" wheel in the back without stretching the tire somewhat.
But, please don't go off topic talking about my tire size in this thread, if you want to talk about, go here:

This thread is about the fender liners and rolling the fender lips.
