Urgent: Axle Seal Leak

So, I'm at the grand canyon, and have no clue how long this has been going on. I know it was fine when I left about 7K miles ago and didn't notice any leaks until now.
All I have is an adjustable wrench, a weatherman, jack, and a turkey baster haha, which I found at the general store. I am going to drain the oil and refill through the shifter fork tube/vent. That's where the turkey baster comes in.
Questions:
How much oil would be a safe bet?
Anyone in the area (4-8hrs whatever) that can do a seal with me?
Has anyone run these dry and been still ok?
The only oil I have right now is Pennzoil 10W-30 full syn. and M1 EP 5W-30, which would you recommend?

Update: Tanner motors in Phoenix let me use their lift and tools to do the seal! Awesome owner and employes!!

That is good..I posted pics a year and half ago when a M56 runs dry (well, some water in it) not a good scene.
Another fucking s70: with Lots of zip-ties, a power antenna, and a bitchin shift knob... the only mods that matter.

I just need to finish the trip, didn't care much about the tranny as I have an a couple M56Hs and an M66 FWD, so just an excuse to put the M66 in haha.
