Has anyone done this or a write up on it? Did a fair amount of searching but all the installs are below the bumper beam. Any help is appreciated.

One of the big plus sides though would be reduced intercooler piping which makes a big difference to me, driveability wise.
Question: How about a custom intercooler with end tanks fabbed to fit? Maybe with removing the oem intercooler and moving the a/c condenser right up against the radiator? What would the cost for a custom intercooler like that run? I have no clue. Been trying to call a well repped local shop but they're pretty busy, tax season and all(everyone with they're refunds lol)

I like the blacked out look. How is the airflow without cutting the bumper? I may just go that route if nothing else works.

I would use this as a starting point: http://www.ipdusa.co...850-c70-s70-v70 .
If it costs more than IPD's direct replacement intercooler, than it's not worth it. I don't think anyone else makes a custom intercooler anyways. If you are planning on getting an one-off, just make sure it's less than the IPD one.

Keep 2.25 piping and you wont be able to tell a noticable difference in lag, black it out for stealth and airflows just fine with the stock bumper opening. If that doesn't work for you do as kalvin said, Rye is a great guy and knows his stuff!
