Hey Guys,

My car is misfiring. I was getting codes P0300, P03001, and P03004. Thats a general misfire, a misfire on cylinder one and four i think. I changed the spark plugs, wire set, dist cap and rotor and fuel filter. Still misfiring. I was thinking it could be the ignition coil, but it does not rev oddly at idle only at highway speeds. So now i think...

My fuel injectors need to cleaned. How do I remove my fuel injectors? Do I need any special tools? Once I have them out how do I clean them? I will be working on this project in the morning so any help would be helpful.

Thanks

What I'd you use for ignition parts?

The injectors would be VERY rare to cause any issue. Also do a compression check, which would rule out a burnt valve.

when i opened the cap covering the wires and plugs. I noticed pools of water, does that mean water could have gone into the spark plug wells, how would one dry the wells up? is that what seform does?

Try using OEM plugs.

Did you set the gap correctly?

If there's water in the spark plug tubes that is going to cause a problem. I don't know how on earth water could get in there though, unless you washed you engine and pointed the hose right at the spark plug cover. Pull the wires out, (Leave the plugs in!) blow the tubes out with compressed air, or suck the water out with a shop vac, clean as well as you can with a clean rag and then leave the plug cover off with the hood open for a few hours. Platinum plugs are going to cause you problems too, if not immediately, they will in a few thousand miles. Ditch them and get OEM plugs.

I really doubt you need to remove your fuel injectors.

Any water or moisture around any metal part of the ignition system will totally shut it down. The ignition system is very high voltage which is unstable and will find the path of least resistance!

No seafoam, no knock sensor, no injectors. Just get that moisture out of any areas around te ignition. Also get Volvo plugs!!!

Who told you that.? Very very unlikely.

Get OEM plugs and seafoam won't fix your problem but it doesn't hurt to clean out the engine every now and agian.
