Its been a while since I had a project just go really wrong so I figured I needed one. Going to try and nickel chrome boron coat a pistol. Will post the carnage up over here: http://bigborear.com...-pistol-before/

should be pretty swank on a full drive train, never have to lube the chain!

Thats the plan. I am about to strip the nickel off an ultegra cassette and just finished stripping the Deagle.



Deagle will get wire brushed and hot tanked tomorrow, and if I have time I will zincate the cassette. Still need to buy chain rings and decide if I want to do a custon chain or use an off the shelf one since Ni-B chains are already out there.

i think the matte grey coating on all the drive train is going to look pretty sweet, I wonder if it will change shifting performance (maybe even make it better!?)

Not Ni-B but Ni-PTFE. Their coat is dark gray. Ni-B just looks like a dirty nickel. I'll post pics later tonight as cycnuts
