In October of 2010 I managed to run 13.33 @ 109.64 on the following setup:

Fresh 18T, angled flange, ported wastegate, fresh 300/70 actuator
R manifold
Custom intake
iPD 3" turboback
iPD drop in intercooler, RIP kit
AC compressor, condenser delete, shorter belt
Freshly flow-tested/cleaned white injectors
New ignition components
Silicone vacuum lines
Aquamist
iPD Stage III Euro manual 850R tune, Turbosmart MBC @ 18psi
Mickey Thompson 24.5/8/15 ET Drag slicks
Slight weight reduction--no back seat, no spare tire, paneling removed over hatch floor

My question is, has anyone actually achieved high 12's at 110mph+ using a stock-frame turbo? A 19T-powered car, maybe?

If not, I think I will perhaps make this my goal this summer. I've been wanting to do a mild build (rods, pistons) for years now, but the 855R refuses to give me a good reason to swap a built motor in. *Knock on wood*

The reason I think high 12's are possible, is because I think that with a perfect launch, I can bring my 60ft time down another 0.25 seconds. What's a perfect launch, I hear you fellas ask? I'm thinking 2-step @ 10psi off the line? I've had my eyes set on the MSD 6AL w/ 2-step or N2MB's WOTbox for the longest time. I think the trap speed is high enough to warrant high 12's maybe?

Strip the interior out... that oughta get you pretty close.

Trapping 109+ with an 18T, damn. Your car seems VERY healthy.

I never saw the slip, but was talking to Fishy some-what recently and he had mentioned running a 12.9 with a 16T in his 854 T5R auto.

Wasn't there someone on here (from Iowa) I believe who ran a 12.9 with an 18T and about 400 lbs of weight reduction?

EDIT: And that's a sick time and an even better trap speed.

Forgot the state, but remember who you're talking about. He had a black 854R with major weigh reduction (500-600 lbs.). Think he ran a 12.8, but I could be wrong.

Member name cr854, or something like that. Don't know if a slip was ever uploaded.

I picked a pretty circuitous route and arguably cheated slightly, but I'm going to get there

Could probably shave another 120lbs(?) replacing your three wagon windows with speed glass...just a thought. Cheap weight reduction :)

At my best with 18T straight flange, turbo back exhaust and intake with hottest tune I was willing to put on my own car I hit 13.15 seconds. You're pretty close to as good as it gets with a wagon which is 110 lbs heavier than my sedan

Thanks for the kind words guys. I think it's likely that I can break into the 12's. My plan is to go ahead with an MSD ignition box that allows for 2-step and WOT shifting, open downpipe, and my missing headlight mod which adds at least 15hp

I'll Go Pro it when the day comes this summer--hopefully my axles survive the launch

There's your problem, you don't have any stickers yet!

Seriously though, your car is very sharp looking!

Nice time man, and a lower mainland guy I see!
I think it's doable. With the MT's you should be able to get sub 2.0 60' times, a 1.8 and you're pretty much there....

Does the boost taper? Even if it does, if you can run more, with a splash of race gas even, that would also probably do it.

I am aiming for mid 12's this summer on 15gs (2 of them though). :D

If you can drop your 60ft you will be there. I got a 1.82 60ft last time at the track with MT slicks and no wot box/ launch control. 6,000 rpm bouncing the throttle and let 'er rip...your transmission and axles will hold, don't worry  It felt like I got rear ended by a truck

I destroyed a trans launching at 4k on hot street tires at 30psi. Diff exploded and found a way out. That was with a K24.

We also fried a quaife LSD with drag radials at 15psi. Best 60 was 1.9 I think. Even the drag radials would break loose sometimes. GT3076R

As much as I would love to see it, I don't think 12s are possible. Sorry I'm the glass is half empty guy when it comes to this.
