I was wondering what i should do for the best exhaust sound out of my 2000 s40 1.9t without removing the cats? I have a 2.5 in-2.5 out thrush turbo muffler that i was hoping install, but dont want to do so if it will sound like crap. The only other modification the car has is a drop-in K&N filter.

swap a 5cyl 
sorry i cant help, no experience with the 4 bangers. magnaflows tend to always be a good bet with the 5cyl tho.

Everyone says to stay away from the magnaflows because theyll sound tinny and raspy on my 4 cyl. Is there anyone out there who has run a thrush turbo muffler on either a 4cyl or 5cyl volvo?
