Shake Down Run

First off the mission today was to run the car down the ¼ multiple times without breaking it!
Mission accomplished!
Let me set the stage, weather has sucked huge since getting my car back from MT.
This is basically the first time I have had the chance to push the car a little bit.
Same deal as previous years, I suck at launching.
Today I experienced wheel hop, tire spin & cold track
Last run something happened to my pillar gauges / they all stopped working?

Ticket dissection:
850t picked up 34.94 mph in the last 1/8th
Mustang picked up 21.3 mph in the last 1/8th

Mustang driver still handed me my ass on a platter.

Back in 2010 the 850t was gaining 30.21 mph in the last 1/8th
2010 I was running 26psi (Turbo-Tuner)
2012 I am running 18psi (Megasquirt II)

Looking good...

If you can manage to bring your 60 foot down, alot, I mean down to 2.0 or 1.9 or even less, then your times should improve dramatically.

And for you to finish with 110.93 wit a 2.543 sec 60 foot is insane... just shows how much HP this thing has, and how bad your launches are. I'm sure with time, and practice they'll improve...

You have an easy .5 of a second waiting for you on a platter...get that launch under control.

I'll bet you were coming up on him strong near the end. Little bit longer track and he would be wondering what just happened.

Didn't see this until now.

Thats pretty much what I ran... 14 flat @ 109mph. No traction until the end of 2nd. I had the same issues launching. I have a gripper coming so I am hoping that all number will improve.

Was this your best run? what was your highest trap?

Honestly, I was just messing around. I just wanted to run down the track and feel things out. All runs were within 1 mph of each. Nice thing is the car is still pulling at the end of the 1/4 in 3rd gear. I believe it was just a touch above 7,000 rpms. The track has just installed a new timing system, the timer actually came over and wanted to see my tickets. He looked at them and then me and said we have a problem. The timing system must be off, you should be in the 12's? I laughed, nope it's me that's off not your system. It was fun to run it a few times without something breaking! Till the gauges crapped out. It wil be going back to track in the near future. Better times or more carnage.

Funny thing with my car or me is the faster I get it the slower my time get :lol:

I ran a 13.8 @ 103 mph and now 15's @ 111 mph

I have now accepted I suck at 1/4 racing. :monkey:

You could always let a fellow VS-er try her out down the 1/4. She might like a fresh new face. ;)

After the 12th or so run, this happened. Was suppose to be the last run of the day. Car ran fine so I let a buddy of mine drive.
