So no one seems to have tested the NEW ipd tcv against the Delco...
All I have read is people comparing them to the OLD tcv

It came out about 2 weeks ago.

I was just asking, because from the title of the thread "New Ipd Turbo Control Valve Vs. Ac Delco Tcv", I thought there would be more discussion on the new one.

Seems like everyone is just talking about how the old one sucks and the Delco is better. Which is something we already know and is why people have chosen the Delco.

We'll since it's so new you're going to be hard pressed to find someone to do back to back testing. If they have the old IPD or Delco solenoid they aren't going to go out and buy the new IPD version unless there is something wrong with the current one and since nobodies had issue with the Delco you could cross those people off the list unless they happen to have multiple cars or like hoarding parts.

If you want to send me your new IPD solenoid I'll gladly do a back to back test and when I visit Rob next month we can compare it to the Grainger/IPD version... Or go buy yourself the Delco, its cheap and do the testing yourself. Since I have the Delco why would I drop $90 on something that's working fine and I only payed $30 for, seems like a waste of my time and money. But if you have the cash and the time floating around be my guest.... ;)

But in all honesty what are you expecting the differences to be? It's a valve that opens and closes? I think it's more about being heavy duty and lasting longer then the Bosch unit. Time will tell if this new IPD version can cut the mustard, obviously the old one couldn't... Since you're one of the only guys that has it around here you're our guinea pig, hope it doesn't let you down...

If someone can find the model number on that new grainger I could probably get one here tomorrow and test it over the weekend. I might show it to purchasing to see what he thinks during lunch.

Sorta curious to do a back to back test of ipdgen1 ipdgen2 and delco.
We already know the oem one craps out at higher boost or we wouldnt be doing these upgrades.

I have the Delco on one car and just installed the New IPD on the other car, which is not running right now, hopefully it will by Sat. I was just trying to get some peoples impressions on it.

I'll compare the two once the car gets going.

Anyone want to peel the sticker off the new one to see if there are any model numbers listed anywhere?
