Hello!

Just thought Id share what subwoofers I have.

I just purchased 2 X 12" Kicker CompVR (aluminized) DVC @ 2 ohm.

I enclosed them in a sealed box.

I have a kenwood KAC-729S powering them (600 watts).

They really hit hard and sound incredible. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for high performance budget subwoofers.

I got the entire setup for around 270 dollars.

If you have any questions on my setup feel free to ask.

Also the amp in that picture isnt my KAC-729S. Thats a pioneer 760 watt.

Agreed, as everyone has different designs. I finally got rid of my pair of tens in a 34"x12" foot print to one 10 in a 13"x13" foot print. Space....

It was becomming a jam to take the wifes car to the air port to pick up relatives because I couldn't fit luggage in the trunk. :glare:

Don't fix those... it's a Volvo. It's supposed to rattle.

I dunno, the only rattle I have is from my loose license plate (3/4 nuts).

good to know....do you have some sound deadening material under the panels and in the tire well? and if you don't mind me asking, what is the depth of the subwoofer? i've got a JL 10w7, and it's deep....i'd like to eventually build something into the spare tire I have and still be able to close the panels over it....but looks iffy with the 10w7

yeah, under the panel would be nice....but remember most amps are pretty flat...i've got mine mounted against the back seat, and it doesn't get in the way at all, and has some space to breathe....

it's the sub and enclosure that get in the way....

long ago i had a 12" sub and enclosure in my spare tire well and it protruded just enough that I had cut a circular opening in the floor panels and put a hard grill over it....i had all of my trunk space.....however, I didnt have a spare tire....and I never felt comfortable driving around without one....which is why when i was changing subs, i went with the trunk enclosure and put my spare back in the well!!!!

now my issue is that the car is so low that the volvo jack doesn't get under it, and so i have to carry around a hydraulic racing jack....that takes up space in the trunk and clanks around lol.....

Then I decide to remove the box put a smaller one in and the air tank that was nice and tucked flies out of home position and ends up right in the middle. Of course clanking around sound. As I am still laughing from your jack comment above. :arob: I need to velcro stuff in place.

slightly blurry

The cabin amp is located on the left rear fold down seat behing the smal box. Eaiser to tune there too.
