Let's not over-engineer this mousetrap:

1. Big tent
2. Coolers of beverages at tent, El Brickeratoro, or byoob, (bring yer own other bevs), and plenty of water.
3. Grill(s)- byom if desired, Go-Go can be the Golden Grillmistress if she's up for it.
4. Music at night... maybe Ipod throwdown?

That should do it. You can't push a rope, so let the chips fall where they may.(Yeesh, sorry for the double analogy). But beacause of our diversity, not everyone is going to want to hang out with everyone else, so let's create a common area where those that do, can.
Individuals that like to stay up can have a venue that won't aggravate anyone trying to sleep, and there can be "sub tents" around for more quiet chillin'.
Anything else is icing on the cake.
My .02 :)

Like I said get some sponsor/vendors to give you some money for said gear and if there is some left over money get food and drinks... How much could 2 grills and a couple coolers cost? And they don't have to be new either. If you are going to cater for that many people you have to step it up a notch or 2 to make it work... Or make it easier on yourself and hire a caterer, let them worry about grilling and sit back and enjoy the show... ;)

Whoops! I -1 you when I meant to +1 lol

1) I think our tent size was fine this year... idk, thats just me.
2) I have a 55 gallon cooler I brought this year with a layer of dry ice (insulated away) which kept everything cold or frozen for the whole weekend. I can easily provide a few hundred pounds of dry ice for next year as well as there is always excess of it at work. Not to mention, we have a shitton of styrofoam coolers I can bring and we can have designated 'water' 'coke' 'diet' 'sprite' marked on them
3) 100% I am up for being Grillmistress... I feel cooking and feeding people keeps me busy (to stay out of trouble) and I MEAT/get to talk to the most people that way. Renting a big ass grill would be nice, or We cna have a chain-o-grills going. I have my little charcoal weber...but if someone has a propane one they can bring from home (like the saab guys near my camp) that would be best because its SO much easier and faster to pump out food. This year I did burgers, dogs, chicken, sausage, eggs, bacon, porkroll... I can easily bring sides next year. (potato salad, slaw, chips) and also do like baked potatoes/skillet potatoes like last year... I was just a bit lazy and time/financial broke this time around.
4) If we can get Jakey Jake next year, I'm sure he'd be happy to throw down some DJ skills!

Icing on the cake....I'm feeling a Volvo cake next year!!

I think that this year was organized but that it could be better.

I agree with Honeymans formula. Beer+food+music+tent=epic party time.

go-go did a great job with the grill and meat storage, It just got a little confusing as to where the grilling was taking place. I think that is the only issue we really had this year.

There's enough people willing to organize this and take care of all the details, so i think the rest of us can just help by giving a littke money to the cause (ie. Brickerator fund, food fund, grill fund, entertainment fund?).

Just 2 cents more from me.

And don't forget the cockies!

Plenty of cocky people there ;) :P

Well if it is indeed the year of the Volvo...I guess I'm hopefully in next year too then. I was going to lean towards SoWo to check out that place, but with Volvo being the car of the show...we need to represent hardcore. Maybe the Fla boys will make the journey again. Even better would be to get the West Coast boys out, but that would be hell for them.

I had someone ask me on a Subaru forum if the flat black vR was going to be there. And I had to tell him NO! Make him and others happy by showing up. :P

Hopefully they can actually hook up the wagon (or any Volvo) next year... no more amateur bullshit dyno

yeah we need to address that. Someone should just bring hub adapters incase they set up with dynopack again. Next year I'll have a bigger turbo on the 850 (if things go according to plan)

if this happens I can bring some great local (to Ithaca) bacon, sausage, hamburgers etc from my restaurant to help out/sponsor. I'd do more but I had a hard time doing anything other than standing by my car and talking..

See how easy it was to get a vender to provide for us? Now all we need is a sponsor for beer.

No, they need to bring the other one back. It took so long to set up each car on this years that they only ran 6-8 throughout the entire day!

I've got the DJ covered, like I mentioned earlier. My best friend has a show on a local radio station, and is quite popular around here. He's got tons of gear and big speakers and can throw down some mixes for us. Trust me, when this guy DJs parties, it's epic. There's no other word for it.

I imagine it would take some sort of power greater than that of a couple AA batteries?
