Does anyone have a good picture of exactly how far the rms should be pushed in? Should it be flush with the block? Think i may have pushed mine in a bit too far.

The special Volvo tool sets the seal in ever so slightly, BUT in my opinion, it doesn't matter as long as it's flush or inset and not sticking out.

I set mine in just past the beveled edge on the opening, tapping it in with a hammer and using a large allen key to seat it in the groove. I got lucky, no leaks after 2000+ miles on an aftermarket seal.
The OEM seal wasn't very far past the beveled edge either before I removed it. If it's much further past that, I'd consider carefully going in with a pick and pulling the seal back out.
Have a pic? It's still fresh in my mind, did it a few weeks ago.

Why? who cares if it's in a little bit more then normal. It's still going to seal just fine, as the crank doesn't have a tapper and the surface is the same all the way back.

I pushed the right side in more to make it even right after I took the picture.

Yea I'm just worried I squished the back of it or messed up the spring.
