Stage 0 ?
Has a new air filter
Bout 83000 miles
stage 0 would be making sure everything on the car is in perfect like new working order. Air Filters, Air Sensors, Plugs, Wires, etc. basically everything.
my 1998 s70 GLT is now at Stage 0 and with my auto i get about 24 all around. which from my understanding is perfectly normal.
these cars arent known for their mpgs. power, speed, safety yes. MPGs...... no.

Thank you, but I'm in calif : (If everything is up to snuff and that's the best you are getting, you can get a tune from Lucky (ARDtuning.com). He offers a tune to maximize fuel economy.

Hell I dunno, what's ARD mean ?
This is lucky's website and the tune that would be most appropriate for your car. If you have any questions just email him, he'll be glad to help you out

I did notice that my mpg's went up after receiving my tune, but honestly that was just another plus, it wasn't what I wanted the tune for. So it would be more of a question if you think the price in the tune is worth the 2-4 better mpg or to just deal with it, or to start replacing emmisions parts to see if any of them will net you better numbers....honestly not saying anything bad about the tune (I'm currently wearing an ARD shirt lol) but $4-500 to maybe get you 3mpg better isn't the best advice. If your truly concerned I'd follow nowheremans post, but if your not doing the work yourself with replacing stuff such as 02 sensors, the cost of that will add up fast as well, plus it'll be a crap shoot, but you know your cars service history better than any of us

They (VS) wax their cars? I thought the lastest craze was to wrap them in viynl so the paint is flat. At least thats what won the IPD show.

also check your brakes, wheel bearings, tires, etc. I had one brake that was partially engaged for a while and i didnt know it. just replaced my calipers. basically you need to make sure everything to do with moving your car forward is brand new and rolling with the least resistance.
or you could be like me and most people and just replace everything and be happy that for less money than your friends spent on a new hyundai or ford youve got more features and a faster car and stop worrying about 3 mpg. if you are that concerned get a prius or some other hybrd thingy.
oh and make sure you fill up only with premium and ethanol free gasoline. that will improve it as well
