These are coming down in price (35k give or take) and most have like 20k miles on them. I already have wheels and they are factory-equipped with height adjustable coilovers - or maybe bag it to make friends in the Italian car community?

You have a preference between convertibles and hardtops, or do 355s come with detachable hardtops?

EDIT: Stupid question

You're being a little generous with that price point. Most I've seen with that mileage or below are at the $45 - 60k price point. A couple at mid $30s but definitely the oldest models.

I don't think the price point is all that bad, it's the cost of maintenance.

Do you know cost of maintenance from first hand sources? They said the Jag would be expensive to maintain, but after 40k and only oil changes, I start to doubt commonly held opinions.

Gorgeous. As for the maintenance thing, I feel that the comments about a specific vehicle being expensive to maintain comes from people that don't do their own work. Don't get me wrong, though. There are obviously some makes and models that are more expensive to maintain and work on but to single out a brand and say "I wont drive that, too expensive to maintain" is a piss poor excuse.

In regards to the Ferrari, I would love to see what you could do with it. We all like driving new cars but there is something so attractive about going nostalgic.

At cars and coffee a couple weeks ago I was actually talking to a guy who works at stoptech who daily drives a 355, still only puts about 10-14k onit a year though. Upkeep prices weren't that bad (between $2-7k, depending on services obv) but he said if you own an old Ferrari always have at least $12k in the band in case something blows up lololololol

That's the same word I've heard from Ferrari owners at Supercar Saturdays. Do your own work it's cheaper but expect certain parts to be very expensive. They say after 40k miles expect some issues on the older cars.
