Hey guys, I'm selling my 740 and have a set of 18 inch Hamann HM2's from the bimmer I want to try and mount on the ol' s70. they measure 235/40 and are not staggered. I was looking into adaptors and the smallest seems to be about 20mm. Would I be able to fit these wheels if I rolled my fenders and stretched my Tires? would the center bore be an issue at all? they have a 3 inch lip so I really want to make this happen, any help is appreciated.

derp.

What's the offset and width of the wheels? The smallest adapter that can be made is 15mm if you call Adaptec.

Need some more info to help.

Come on, at least give the specs of the wheels...

Otherwise, probably not with adapters. BMW wheels are very low offset wheels. When Matt ran his RC090s he had them redrilled and had 12mm spacers, IIRC, in the rear and was flush. The thinnest adapter you can get is 15mm, so depending on the specs, you'll be poking. Poking is OK, but you'll have to have the right ride height to pull that off. ;)

First off. Do some searching. Using the word "offset" in the search will get you tons of results. One of which has a post of mine with tons of links. To get you started, this is on of my posts from one of them.

Just to give you an idea. 16x6.5 et 8 for the front and 16x6.5 et -14 for the rear are the specs I used to figure out my adapters. Those were the numbers that I measured that would give me the correct poke to be straight flush with the fender lip. Use those and compare them to whatever wheels/offsets you want to run and you can also figure out what size adapters/spacers you would need.

Like I said, that is what I measured on my car, so it might not be 100% accurate for yours, but it will give you an idea.

X70 fenders are little wider than 850s, so factor in a few more mm for each.

Just to give you an idea, you'll be four mm further out in the front than I am. And I'm already poking a few mm.

probably best dfor you to redrill. With the spacer you would be poking way to much in my opinion.

You'll be roughly .25 an inch out further in the front than my setup. Very doable with d2's and the camber adjustment.

And you could be further in in the rear than my setup with smaller adapters.
