hello dear friends,

according to Vadis and Chilton's volvo manual there is a vacuum tank in 850 series volvos which is located right next to charcoal canister.. however I couldnt see this tank in my 850.. my 850 is a '95 N/A.. do you have this tank in your volvos?

the tank is shown in the diagram given below.. and the pipe which is connected to the tank ends at vvis solenoid.. picture given below.. but in my car this pipe is hanging free..

it's not directly behind the bumper, but you'll know when you see it

Hello again Kevin,

I had the car lifted and got underneath and saw that the vacuum tank was supposed to be connected to the left end of charcoal canister however the the edge which the tank was supposed to be connected is broken and the tank is absent.. with your help I was able to verify that this part existed on the car but for some reason its gone.. I talked to the dealer and they will order a new canister mount and vacuum tank..

I really appreciate your comment and help.. many thanks and regards..

Mete

Honestly, it's what this forum is all about. I just try to help new people as the large majority of this forum doesn't take kindly to new people asking questions.

Ahh, you were doing so well Kevin, then you said that.

There are only a small number of jerks, but they tend to be vocal so their numbers seem much larger. You will find them on any forum.

Glad you were able to help him out.

I do agree with you on that, the outspoken minority feel as if its the majority.

Perhaps its when I ask for help I just get shot down
