Heading for Wisconsin on 294 today, running about 80 in the left lane , when....pfff........no power, car stumbling, no boost...bummer. Make it into the Lake Forest Oasis and shut the car off. Raise tthe hood and don't see any problem at first. Restart and it seems to be idling fine. Blip throttle and get a little pop out the exhaust...unusual. Car dies. Refire, idles fine. Get out and stare at running engine.....notice.....smoke. Wait sniff sniff, not smoke; exhaust. Find that the hose from the egr to the throttle body elbow has popped free. Further examination reveals a small tear in the elbow itself. Push the erg hose back in and drive around the parking lot whereupon it pops right back out. Park, go inside the oasis, have a smoothie and think about what to do. The answer: duct tape. Push the pipe back in and duct tape the joint then wrap duct tape crosswise around the egr pipe and the throttle body elbow to hold it together. Then drove very carefully; no kickdown, no full boost. Made it to Hartford, Wi. Will try to fix tomorrow. Anyone know the part# and name for the elbow?
Duct Tape Saves The Day.

'94 855t. Ordered all new turbo hoses from FCP. 190k on the car and they look original. Figure they're all weak.
