Hi, during this winter my brother have cracked his lip spoiler on 850, and finally we have found some time to try to fix this on our own. What would you suggest to use for this to be fixed? Maybe someone have done something similar (have used search, but no success). The pictures will tell the damage (not very big, but spils the whole picture)

Thanks in advance

ABS

if you have the broken off pieces you can plastic weld them, or make a FG mold and make a new FG one...

Or replace it.. for the money that youll be spending to repair it you are probably better off replacing it

You can use the black ABS glue from Home Depot or Acetone to join repair pieces to the missing areas and fill the cracks. I used to grind ABS plastic, sweep up the filings and put them in a mason jar with some Acetone. Put the lid on it, let it sit, stir it till it becomes a paste then use the paste to join parts. Then sand the back and add reinforcement of larger ABS parts with a good amount of the ABS glue. Or, you can use the Rubber Bumper Repair from a paint store. Similar to bondo but made for the application. Either way you will have to add material. Then a lot of sanding.

Unfortinately no pieces left, probably will be trying to repair, if not, I got it cheap anyway, will just get rid of it.

Thanks for the tips, will be thinking about that.

I used to use Dynatron 660 for repairs like this or small fabrication but its not made anymore. Not sure what Bondo/3M is replacing that product with or why they discontinued it.
