Hey everyone quick question is the 850 torque converter and 98 S70 torque converter the same? My S70's trans went out and I had a spare 850r trans but not the torque converter, will the S70's torque converter work with the 850's trans on an 98 s70 engine?
Thanks Greg

Make sure you install it correctly. It goes on in two stages. It will slide on in any position, but it has to go down another notch after that. Like a 16 year old getting his first piece of tail, you likely won't hit it right the first time. You'll have to find that spot where it bottoms out all the way.
When I did mine, the torque converter and transmission were both extremely exhausted and satisfied when it was done.

Yup ^^
You'll know it's installed correctly into the trans if it rubs a little when you spin it by hand. Just be careful not to get your fingers caught under it when
you're trying to get it in that notch. It might drop in unexpectedly and its preeeeettty heavy.
Then when you bolt up the trans to the engine pull the tc towards the flex plate. Hand crank the engine to get all 5 torx bolts.
This is very important cause if you don't do this your trans is gonna go boom
