so... s60 is throwing two codes... or has, they come on and off.. P0090, and P0193. Actually, the 0090 I've only seen once, 193 returns frequently.

neither can be found in the conversion table in VADIS... i found a thread on swedespeed that converts them to ECM-290B (Fuel pressure -- Signal missing) and ECM-280C (Fuel pressure sensor -- Signal too high) respectively... neither can be found in VADIS with my engine selected. what gives?

symptoms are loss of power when driving (pedal depressed) -- kinda feels like your tapping the gas on and off... it's stalled twice in the 2.5 weeks I've noticed the issue.

no outstanding recalls, according to dealer.

just looking for some thoughts... i have a general idea of what's happening, but i'll take the info anyways... maybe this can help others in the future.

Land Rover Fuel Pressure Sensor (BOSCH) p/n TR015294: http://www.parts.com...bmodel=&retVal= $56.32
-OR-
Volvo Fuel Pressure Sensor (BOSCH) p/n 30756097 http://www.tascapart...bmodel=&retVal= $126.09

1. Drain/relieve pressure in fuel rail (schrader valve, left side of rail)
2. Remove sensor (located on right side of rail)
3. Install sensor
4. ???
5. Profit!

i see you have 2.5T, i almost sure that you fuel pressure sensor is going bad. It happens to me on my XC90 2.5T, i was driving and then boom!! like fuel cut, then back again to normal. After a few days it was worse!!! i was going up hill and the engine just stall/shut off.

My mpg was really bad. I replaced the sensor and everything is perfect since, BTW there was no CEL on my car.

Yea, that was the plan. Thanks for the response.

Was just looking around some more, and apparently some '04 S60's are excluded from the recall (based on chassis number)... could surmise that that's why they said i was up-to-date.

$126 for genuine @ Tasca

Parts - supposedly these will all work fine:
0261230110 Bosch
30756097 Volvo
LR005493 Land Rover
LR015294 Land Rover
1582665 Ford

those two LR parts are the same (one supercedes to the other)... 2 years ago it was available on a site (that no longer exists) for $65. I just tried a local dealer and they said about 120.

Anyone know any good LR parts sites?

Couldn't find squat for Land Rover sites... and then as I sat, staring at the Tasca page, I had a brilliant idea... why not search google for "TradeMotion Land Rover" (was also just curious about the MSRP)

bam: http://www.landrover...h&siteid=215719 $61.95

I found it cheaper @ parts.com, $56.32 (still OEM)... Had already ordered, though, and it comes on Thursday.

part came in... also made by BOSCH, only difference is no extra bit of plastic for mounting a zip...

CEL was on beforehand... I started the car, CEL was gone, let it run while i cleaned up and took it out for a bit... MPG average @ 22.8 when i got back, up from 19.6 (average while having the issue),

very painless job, except for when i squirted fuel into my eye (while relieving fuel pressure on the left side of the rail)... T20 torx was all that was necessary, you can either cut the existing zip tie off or just pull it off the part and leave it.

Also a cheap thing to do that is often forgotten... Change out the fuel filter.
