Picked up a set of Mirzams 18x8 45et, to replace Eudoras 18x8 et49

I went to mount the wheels and they leave a gap between the hub and the wheel clear the calipers fine. I stacked on 2, 5mm spacers and it looked good 1, 5mm would leave slop

I remember something about enlarging the bore of the hub portion of the wheel but thought I would be clear with that being this is an s60...

So, pickup 10mm spacers all around (probably going to need extended lugs as well eh?) or look is the problem the wheel it self aka needing machining

I have pics of what I'm talking about but figured this was good enough of a descript

Mirzams centerbore is 63.4 mm, your centerbore is 65.1 mm.

Right so is it a better idea for resale ability to run 10mm spacers (non hub c) with extended lugs or have the wheels machined

If you dont want to machine the wheels use spacers that are hub and wheel centric.

Buying spacers will require less effort and look better overall.

Forget resale value. Think about driveability.

Non hub centric spacers suck, you'll get a rough ride at any speed over 45 mph, no matter how well you center them. Get them bored out ($25/wheel at a machine shop) or run the right hub centric spacers.

I am going to have to disagree with you here. I have driven on non-hubcentric spacer/adapters at well over 45 and experienced nothing but a smooth ride out of them.

Also, Motorsport Tech can make you adapters with varying centerbores. This is how I am running the Odysseus without them being bored.

If you're planning long term, and they already clear brakes, then machining is the way to go....

if you want to turn them over in a year, then get hub and wheelcentric custom adapters made, and you can sell them to some S60 guys later....

I'd personally get the bores machined, because you can still sell them to S60 guys with smaller bore size....all they have to do is get $15 hub rings between their hubs and wheel bore....this is what i have on my Nebs.....my center bore is 65.1, and the bore on the Nebs is 67mm IIRC, so I just bought hubcentric rings for $15 shipped from Discount Tire or something, and they work great....no need for adapters etc....

Pras that's the other issue, I have R-calipers for the front yet to go on. The calipers on there are actually physically larger than the R's (factory 320's) but I'd like to have a good amt amount of clearance to keep the paint nice. 10-15mm should be plenty. I'm sure there will be more S60's coming around in the coming years

right, but my statement still holds true....if you bore the wheels, you can bolt on standard 850/70 spacers with teh normal 65.1mm bore as long as you have hubrings....

as you might know, i've got 10-15mm spacers up front, and 25mm spacers rear, all standard 850 hub and wheel centric....all i did was get hub rings on all 4 corners and i'm good

I think you're going to end up spending more than $200 on 4 adapters, bolts etc, then just to get the bores machined, and hub centric rings....then, if you sell the wheels, you're going to be SOL on selling those adapters to anyone at that point....

but bored wheels with hub rings....easy sell for 850/70 and S60 guys, and your only cost in it would have been the $100 for boring all 4 wheels....

But without spacers, he won't clear the calipers. So add another $100 to your cost, and in that case you're probably better off leaving the wheels intact and having adapters.

Does anyone know the measurement of the lip on the hub, I can't get to the car for a few days and M-sport tech would like the measurement to figure out correct spacer size to clear the hub lip and have enough room for the tapered smaller centerbore.

I want to say it can't be more then 10mm?

right, but the spacers will still be for the 850/70 cars, and 85070 wheels, whereas adapters will be for the 850/70 cars with s60 wheels....

spacers will live on, adapters, smaller chance....

Typically adapters do not require longer bolts to run and if having a smaller cb on the wheel side of the adapter is an issue, the user could always buy a set of hub rings.

Put in my order for 13mm hub-c spacers from m-sport tech w/ extended lugs

Lip on the hub is 10mm as best can be measured

Jr stated 1wk turnaround on the spacers.

Got the spacers and extended lugs. Lugs went from 19mm head to 17mm they are polished which was a nice touch most extended lugs aren't nice looking. Be sure to spend some time with some emery cloth cleaning up the hubs and wheel bore so the surface is even & clean. There was no notch for the rotor centering pins so those had to go, no big deal. Unfortunately the tires on the Mirzams are fairly shot and poorly balanced so I can't really give a full review on the ride. Large bumps/dips definitely have a bit of light rub sounds like its coming from the rear. Overall positive experience with Motorsport-Tech
