Had my Supra on the dyno this past Wednesday to finish the tune up. Thanks to my tuner Vlad's handiwork on the keyboard, the car finally broke the 800 mark:

Thanks guys. Yes, they're relatively easy to coax power out of, just takes research, the right parts, and a little bit of cash. I could've gone with a different turbo setup and made the same power, but I wanted something I could still use once I build a new motor this winter.

The 2JZ-GTE is a strong unit, even the first gen 1JZ was a strong unit.

Good numbers though. How long does it take for the 3.0 to spool that GT4708?

The 2JZ is such an awesome engine. I read a magazine build article where they took a bone stock supra much like that, with a $2k upgrade budget, and got it to put down just over 600 whp. I cant remember exactly

what mods they did, but I was just gobsmacked at such a return for such little investment. The bottom end is very strong right from toyota. Very overbuilt.

Those things still command $30k-$40k for a mint condition used model. Maybe someday........

Very overbuilt.

I would say built as it should be. More car manufacturers should follow this path.

No - Traction is a major issue for Supras
There's an old saying: What's the difference between a 600hp Supra and a 1,000hp Supra? Nothing, they both run 12's ...
Don't get me wrong. I love the car and miss mine dearly. But one should be aware of their shortcomings ...
And yes, you all don't need to link 500 videos of Supras running 10's. I know it's doable. My statement is in regards to the majority of builds, not ALL.

not in this case tho. if it is indeed stock block making that much power with a few bolt on's i'm sure its quite cheap. in our cars we have to spend all kinds to get anywhere near 800. has any1 even broke 500 wheel in north america yet?

I don't seem to have any problems cutting 1.5xx 60' times with mine.

Car went 10.78 @ 136 in testing today, going back out on Wednesday with some more of the no-lift shift feature figured out.

I actually really like your setup. Looks like you should be having much fewer issues coming off the line.

Nicely done! Cant say enough about those 2jz engines, they are truly incredible considering how simple they are. You really don't need to do much at all to make power out of them!
