Doesn't look like concealed carry is as effective as everyone assumes.

"Oregon is one of seven states, either from state legislation or court rulings, with provisions allowing the carrying of concealed weapons on public postsecondary campuses, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. The other states are Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Mississippi, Utah, and Wisconsin."

ok i've had it.

Instead of praying for the families of these murders, how about praying for the fucking politicians who refuse to do a fucking thing.  I find it criminal how these guys do nothing about this.  I think we should be holding all murder tool sellers responsible, NRA responsible, politicians who refuse to act in ANY way responsible.

How about we all pray for peace and a stop to the killing.

I'm calling for a complete round up of all firearms.  enough is enough.  If you care so little about others than there's nothing i can do.   Every where else in the world is an equal amount of mentally deficient people, they just can't get murder tools so easy.

damn those who refuse to accept any controls, limits, back ground checks, cool down periods etc.

Mike, if you start rounding up firearms it will become Civil War 3.  Too many out there to legitimately turn around and yank them all back without creating serious heat.

Did you ever dismiss claims of 'confiscation' as ludicrous fear mongering? Because that's what you're calling for now, isn't it? That's the spirit though, make dramatic emotional decisions immediately following a major event. To demand politicians do "something" for the sake of it when they consciously do not want to do anything, and are voted in, is a mistake. Need to vote someone new in, or convince them they'll never be reelected if they don't change.

So your request(s) - is it that we should eliminate all personal weapons? As in repeal or alter the second amendment? Or that we need to have national limitations? If so, what are those limitations?

i would say my response is far from knee jerk.  I've been consistent for years here.

I'm tired of people being killed at the crux of it all( this includes war, Fing BUSH).

something needs to be done and the horse is out of the barn is not acceptable to me.  People clearly can't govern themselves( i'm not saying the govt is the deity either) but we need some controls.

at this point i want guns out of everybody's hands.

i've been calling for controls on rounds forever also.   Any jack pipe can walk into Walmart and buy carts full of ammo.  The come back that people will load their own is malarky. That percent has to be under .001 that do that.

short of chuck, who else is religiously loading their own? speak up?

A. i hear you, but what should we do , nothing?  how many people do you really think are going to get in a gun battle in their streets to save their grand fathers over/under?  Alden, you plan to make barriers in the street and go out throwing lead?

i'm at least advocating for some action.

The problem with "taking" peoples guns is... they have guns.

I would say 1/3 of the people I know re-load regularly now. It's only getting more popular.

What we can all take away from this is, the goobament won't do shit. Lobbyist and re-elections > "Saving lives."

If you think people don't reload their own ammo, you're delusional.  It's something almost everyone does here in Texas.

And Utah, and Idaho, and Montana, and...every State west of the Mississippi (that's not California, Washington and Oregon) and south of the Mason Dixon line.

You're advocating for doing 'anything'. It's the idea that we have to do something, no matter how ineffective or unreasonable it might be. You're resisting the possibility that there may simply be no clear good idea. I think you'll find a surprising number of gun advocates are open to a good idea to limit these deaths. With the qualifier that many of the ideas circulated aren't good, or won't work in practice.

I don't think it'd ever come to a street-war against the citizens. And I'm not in any hurry to see that happen. But I do think there's a bunch of prepper clowns giddy with excitement at the idea. Once someone goes in the street and builds a mini-bunker, the mall cops will come running in their ebay-BDU's to help patrol. They don't want to get in a gun battle to save their old junk gun, they want to save the right to have one at all. There's a big difference.

Someone I went to school with had a whole room dedicated to their hunting equipment, including a table set up just for reloading, and a bucket of spent casings just like the way some people collect spare change. I want to say the Boy Scout camp I went to would reload their own too, but I'm not 100% on that.

Why the hell do I get dragged into this? I'll humor you through. What happens in this scenario. Years ago I am given an M16. At the time they were worth about 8k. My grand father paid around 400 for it. Now they are worth ~20k. If the gov does a round up so I get back $400, $8000, or $20000? Do I get cash back or tax credit? You do know there are literally trillions of dollars of firearms out there right?
