i don't know the terms:

the grip thingy on top,

semi auto and able to convert to FUll

ability for HUGE round clips.--- a hunter should only need one round. i'm ok with 6-8 for misses and animal charges.

a spin off or origins of all the military weapons.

a weapon thats convertible into other configurations between grips, stalks, barrels, firing rate

listen i argue this multi times a week already with people. you know at your heart i'm right, and i'm not against all guns either.

i don't believe in stop signs, should we get rid of all?

More like if someone proposed we have two stop signs always 20m apart and you stop at both giving anyone in intersection longer to see you. Think for billions of dollars we can save a couple lives. Its just not worth it. And in this example you have an actual proposal. In yours you still have not said what you suggest. Just gonna keep dancing?

the grip thingy on top,

I have no idea what you are talking about. Send a photo.

Thats the rear sight..... The 1960s style. I don't get sights now? That would make it more like an assault weapon. If you notice the rifle on the right does not have it. Instead it has a highpower scope. The A3 and newer versions do not have iron sights like that. They have reflex scopes and magnification optics. Much more deadly than my iron sighted A2 carry handle thingie.

Apparently they "need" it for hunting 1 ton boars down South. After thinking about it not sure why a big game rifle wouldn't be just as effective. Probably because Cleetus isn't a very good shot and or coverage is bad.

Why not do a buy back of the assault weapons? Yes I know it won't get them all off the street but in general it's not gang bangers walking into a school and shooting a bunch of people.

Let's keep it simple:

- all semi-automatic weapons whatever their configuration

Ban all new sales and buy back all older weapons

Start there.

Thats a point people argue a lot, but big game rifles were actually regulated first. In the US nothing larger than .50 can be sold now per NFA laws. The exception is anything with a "sporting exemption" ie scatter guns. So an entry level double rifle is gonna set you back 35k. I am all for screw the poor, but apparently not a popular POV. As for assault weapon buy back, at fair market value would be a decent idea. Whos paying for the 100 millions weapons though that all are running 2-3k average probably?

What does the carry handle have to do with anything? You can't carry one by a strap? Hell, how are these even useful? It sounds more like you're concerned about the look of the gun. You want it to be a wood-stock classic early 1900's design rifle. WTF is a fancy grip really going to do?

How do you define spin-off of, or origins of, military weapon? You can say "you know what I mean", and I do. But how do you put that to law? I don't think you can. And better, I don't see this really mattering. You want to limit features, who cares who designed it?

If you want a bill that actually does something to tackle the real issue then yes, this is the only weapons based step that makes sense.

We still haven't discussed the mental health, deterioration of the nuclear family, the saturation of violent entertainment that desensitizes the individual, or the media celebration of these shooters. And yes, I said celebration.

why do people need semi/full auto hand guns?

Full auto hand guns (machine pistols) are uber rare and are 7k+. Not used in crimes that often in years. But thats an NFA item, not a regular firearm. Believe it or not BATFE handles those completely differently. So lets look at SA weapons. Are you against semi-auto only or are you also against double action?

IE I am asking if this should be legal?

It distracts the masses. Bread and circus in electronic format.

You and I are about to become very unpopular with a wide swath of the VS community Mike. ;)
