hello can i also ask for the COP file?

VAST Tuning should have what you (both) need.

I'm having issues using ostrich.

I can upload a bin file and make some changes without issue, like injector calibrations for example.

When it comes to tuning I was making changes to tcv and ignition which seemed to work fine to begin with. Whenever I was happy I would save the bin to make sure it was safe.

It came to a point where I was adjusting VE fuel table but it wasn't actually making any difference despite uploading successfully. Then the same with tcv pilot control. I even tried zeroing it out to test it and it still boosted to 20psi. If I download the bin file and then open it back up in tunerpro it becomes corrupt. But then if I re upload a previous bin file it seems to work properly again. I've read on here people having corrupt files when downloading from the ostrich before but its as if its becoming corrupt after making a few alterations while tuning.

Is this just a M4.4 thing? Has anyone had similar issues or know if I'm doing something wrong?

Any advice appreciated.

As far as I know the 'download Bin from Ostrich' feature doesn't work properly with default settings in tunerpro, I don't know if there is a workaround as I've never had the need to download the current bin. I save the current bin in a version/date order whenever I make changes, plus tunerpro saves a log of changes made.

As for why the changes aren't having any effect, have you made sure you are changing the right map? As don't forget there are the alternative maps (unless you are making changes to them all)

Also have you tried using the emulation feature of tunerpro?

I had similar issue with VE table editing (not real time). If  i changed some values and saved the bin then reopened those vales were maximum that table allowed and i couldn't change them back. I think i had to use other xdf to edit this map and got my values right. One of the xdf-s did that mess, don't remember at the moment which one.

EDIT: got it sorted. Turned out to be an ldr table to do with inlet ait temp that I hadn't zero'd

Another new issue I'm facing.

Upgraded from gt28 to gt30 turbo.

I've found I can't build more than 22psi. Looking back at the logs I found tcv won't go past 74% even if requested tcv is 98%. There's no knock/timing retard and nothing else seems out of the ordinary.

LDR routine is currently turned off.

What else influences Tcv?

Has anyone on a pretty non-COP, non WBO2 seen before that XP_IST and Load are capped at 10.8?

I checked my ADX and my XDF and found nothing that would hint to a setting being off.

Kind of annoying as the turbo I am using on this car would to about 12 ish, just below the load limit for such vanilla bin.

10,8 is maximum load by default. You should put it to maximum 12,24.

Thanks. Stupid question, simple fix. :D

Hello,

I am having troubles flashing my ECU. I am using the following OBD cable: https://www.ebay.de/itm/Diagnostischen-FTDI-OBD2-FT232RL-BMW-INPA-Ediabas-USB-fur-DCAN-Kabelwerkzeug-H/303324951331?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160727114228%26meid%3Db279ccc8bc4743859bd97ddc01231b2e%26pid%3D100290%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D231461230279%26itm%3D303324951331%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2060778&_trksid=p2060778.c100290.m3507

I use 16.2 volts on B8 to go into bootmode, but all I get while trying to flash in Motronic Suite is "Erase failed". I also editet the config file and added my COM port, but nothing works.

Do I use the wrong OBD cable or are there any more possible problems I have to check first for?

Thanks in advance
