Well I drive a 2000 s80 2.9 non turbo. And yesterday it almost died on me 3 times within 5 min. of eachother. And it also sounds like its miss fireing or just not fireing in one cylinder. At an idle it kinda sounds like im camming. But im not. And it also kinda sounds like a lawn mower at higher rpm. I thought that it might be a fuel injector or a spark plug. But I dont really know. Anyone have any ideas of what it could be. Another thing is that it has been raining. So im kinda thinking water. But i dont know. Any help would be great thanks

sounds like you're missing badly, and probably ignition related. pull the plugs, they will tell the story. it could either be a bad plug, or bad coil on plug? thought those were pretty robust though... no matter, pull the plugs and see what you see.

Best wagon ever if the damn airbox would stop vibrating and it didn't have a Ford Escort headliner.

you may have gotten some water in underneath the spark plug cover- that happened to me the other day after an intense snowstorm and snow under my hood- cleaned it out but some must've melted and gotten under the cover and was causing missing for the first few minutes of my drive until the water evaporated, and then I was all set, and no more missing. Definitely change your plugs if this missing keeps occurring.

Hello,
I also have a 2000 S80, mine was running very rough, chugging and
what seemed like missing, the message center said "performance
reduced" it turned out to be a bad throttle body.
It got so bad, it almost left me on the side of the road several times.
When it is running bad, does pumping the throttle make it seem that
the throttle is not reacting to your input?
