I heard something along the lines of that waxing your rims/wheels will help repel brake dust. Is this true?

Hmm, looks like I'll pick up some wheel wax then. Anything to make cleaning my car a shorter chore.

Any recommended brand?

I use wheelwax and it works great. I've also tried some left over zaino, which worked well too.

Hmm, gonna have to check that Wheelwax stuff out ... just been using my Klasse AIO.

Anybody else here turn a simple tire rotation job into 2 hours of washing then polishing/waxing the outside AND inside of your wheels? <raises hand> laugh.gif

Cleaning the interior of my rims would be a PITA.. and a major one at that.

Every time I wash the Pegs, I clean the inside of them as well cool.gif There is enough room between the wheel and brakes for me to reach my monkey paws all the way in there... Takes roughly 5 minutes per wheel, but they shine biggrin.gif

Oh yeah I do that too when I wash the car, although it's harder now to get around the front calipers after upgrading to 302mm rotors.

I have that happen as well, it's not pleasant!

We should have a nice Bay Area meet when the weather clears up again. Perhaps Baker's Beach BBQ?
