2016 Presidential Campaign

Recommended Posts

See Alden that attitude just pisses me off. Why would you vote for someone just because they're a woman if their political views are contrary to principles you believe in and their recommended policies would damage the country rather than improve it?

And Mike no, there has not been a candidate running for President when no incumbent is running who acted like Hillary is. She sees herself and the Democrats view her as the presumptive victor even before the primary. No one wants to run against her. I hope it bites her in the ass.

Your phrasing has me wondering if you think I endorse that attitude. So just to be clear, it probably pisses me off more than it does you  As for walking the walk, talking the talk, I think she's making a smart move there. Risky, but I think it's working.

Damn...someone beat me to the punch. haha.

Ron's out, too old. But his son is running  Unfortunately I don't think he's enough of a party favorite to get the nomination - here's to hoping.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. In spite of what the media is saying out there, for now this is a coin toss and there are many reasons why Hillary could easily lose, perhaps not in the primaries though we may yet see a challenger worth discussing, but definitely in the general election assuming she makes it that far.

She's less inevitable than she and the media would like you to believe.

Alain, if you and Nate Silver were on Jeopardy, who would win?

it will come down to the same 5-7 states as the last election.

Depends on the topic.

Baseball and Statistics he would kill me. Politics I think it would be a close competition except around the specific mechanics of polls where he dominates everyone in the craft. Every other topic it's probably a wash.

Are we sure quid pro quo isn't Hillary's middle name?

http://nypost.com/2015/04/20/book-claims-foreign-cash-made-bill-and-hillary-filthy-rich/

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/04/20/us/politics/new-book-clinton-cash-questions-foreign-donations-to-foundation.html

The donations, the emails, and we haven't even started yet.  Oh what fun this election cycle will be.  And you know what the claim will be?  It's just the big bad Republicans attempting another hit on such a capable and talented woman.

That said, I found this article very interesting given the source:

http://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2015/04/17/the-voices-hillary-rodham-clinton-didn-hear/gGhQmBvQygiiYJAnWUdIOJ/story.html

Not a very flattering response to Her Highness' little road trip by a very progressive news source.

It just keeps getting uglier with Bill and Hillary's great adventure with what has all the markings of pay to play:

Mike, you have a funny definition for Socialist.  I know that's what he calls himself but Bernie's plans are straightforward Leninist ideals.  Put a goatee on him and a Russian accent and he would fit right in with the Revolution of 1917.  He speaks of socialist aims but he would clearly be willing to follow in Lenin's footsteps to achieve it.
