We never purchased a car from them, but I did deal with their body shop, service and parts departments. Keep in mind they also sell Audi's and VWs, not just Volvos.

They seem to be fairly knowledgeable about Volvos and know what they are talking about. I can definitely vouch for their body shop as I have a friend that works there and he did an amazing job fixing up our S60's roof. The paint department of the body shop uses only the highest quality paints (I also know the painter guy) and he always tells me "I either do it right the first time, or I won't do it at all."

The parts department has two sections, retail and wholesale. I am a common visitor to the retail section and they even know me now. They also seem knowledgeable about parts and won't try to sell you anything you don't need. Some parts that they don't stock they will special order (no fee or anything). Speaking of which, I just recently ordered some part and accidently ordered the wrong part # (noticed it when I got home), so I called them the following Monday and asked if I can change the order. They were glad to do so and said they'd refund the difference when I came to pick up the part.

If you are taking your car in for service, make sure you request that the car be serviced by theVolvo foreman at the shop. He is good at what he does and my buddy at the body shop trusts his work. But of course be prepared to pay up, it's a dealership afterall, and they will charge if your car isn't on warranty anymore.

Overall, this dealership is very clean with kind employees. Highly recommended!

an (mechanic) isn't too bad either.. there's another one but can't remember his name. has done some work on my car... volume sometimes creates a problem... had a loose lug nut and a loose engine oil cap on two separate occassions..they are afterall, mazda, audi, and vw service shop too. but overall...pretty good. won't mind installing aftermarket parts either. sometimes, the parts department may be a little hesitant to give out part numbers if u don't buy it from them...but usually they give it..

The service was great here, but because this is only San Francisco Volvo dealership you should make an appointment and get there when they open. Today I was just getting the recall c139 done. They open at 7:00am, but when I got there at 7:30am there were Volvos lined up inside and outside to get in (or just my bad luck).
Heck, they even washed my car as a courtesy item. Great experience, but because of the heavy traffic, wait times were long (or I choose a wrong day to go). Also recovered my radio code for free here (just as every dealership should!), no hassle either. Would definitly recommend, just get there early...

I have to say this was a very good dealership. They got me an appointment the next day and they give you a free rental car from enterprise for the day while they work on your car. Service is excellent, and they are very thorough.. they check all the things they are supposed to in the manual. I was impressed. I did however get charged $150 for a check engine diagnostic, but all they did was clear the codes without pulling them up. When I asked them they gave me a code sheet from an XC90 wink.gif

All in all, very good dealer. Expensive.. but so is everything in San Fran. I would reccomend.
